The Crown
This is the first puzzle I made after I had this box rotation mechanic done. It turned out that my box rotation code ignored walls, so you could get boxes behind walls by rotating them. I embraced this as a feature, and made a puzzle out of it here.
This wasn’t very apparent for my friends playtesting this game, so it clearly needed some iteration. I liked the idea where you can juggle these big boxes and throw them around the ruined walls. The simple 1bit sprite style didn’t make it super clear here that these walls are ruined, which didn’t help with the communication.
The previous build had introduced a bug where you couldn’t push keys, only drag them backwards or sideways. I decided to leave it as it made keys feel distinct from the boxes you’re juggling around.
Note: The builds contain a lot of bugs, don’t worry if you’re testing it and it just breaks.
